Best Answer

Tylenol does not come from a plant. It is synthesized from coal tar.

Answer 2: You probably meant asprin, not tylenol. Asprin is very similar to a chemical that can found in willow plants (trees), which is why some herbalist use willow bark for pain relief.

Medical practitioners used extracts from willow bark and spiraea leaves to formulate aspirin. Until Bayer AG chemists in the late 1800s produced a synthetic version called acetylsalicylic acid.
Scientists discovered that it was an ingredient called Salicin extracted from the bark of a Williow Plant that relieved peoples pain.
Originally, aspirin was extracted from willow bark and other salicylate-rich plants.

I think Advil comes from a Willow Tree

No. Aspirin was first used by people who used willow bark and leaves of the tree. The father of modern medicine, Hippocrates left historical records describing the use of powder made from the bark and leaves.
