Anglican Christianity- Britain was the centre of the establishment of the Anglican Church, so it's main religious denomination is the Church of England. Branches of the Anglican Church exist in Wales and Scotland as the Church of Wales and the Church of Scotland. However, there remains a minority element within England that is Roman Catholic. In Wales, although the Church of Wales has overtaken chapel-based non-conformism, the Baptist, Methodist and Congregationalist churches remain a substantial minority. In Scotland, the second most popular Christian demonination is Presbyterianism, with a large Catholic element in the Glasgow area. Scotland probably has the biggest Catholic populace outside of Northern Ireland. Islam is becoming increasingly established in England by Asian and Middle Eastern immigrants, but it remains very much a minority in the Celtic diaspora except for parts of the Southernmost section of Wales and the lower part of Scotland, as there is little economic incentive for Asian immigrants to settle there.
