If there was a connection (no pun) then the place to look for any would be in the region of the brain called the limbic system, and in particular the amygdala. This is where sexual arousal is processed and check for loss of binding sites on the neurons. The neurotransmitter responsible for playing a role in arousal is epinephrine and also norepinephrine. These, along with acetylcholine ACH with is used for muscle contraction, may be involved. The other component that provides the feeling of pleasure is oxytocin. These are used by people without the disorder of pedophilia during sexual activity. What is probably also involved in some way is the way the brain is 'wired' to release these neurotransmitters at the inappropriate times and trigger a sexual response that is associated with children, instead of other adults. If you consider that the nervous and endocrine systems work very closely with each other, if there is any link in one, then the other is also involved. So along with the neurotransmitters affecting this condition there would likely be a neural processing condition as well.

Neurotransmitters are chemicals in the brain that transmit signals between nerve cells. While there is limited research on the specific role of neurotransmitters in pedophilia, some studies suggest that imbalances in certain neurotransmitters, such as serotonin and dopamine, may contribute to sexual disorders, including pedophilia. However, it is important to note that the causes of pedophilia are complex and multifactorial, and neurotransmitter abnormalities are just one potential contributing factor. Further research is needed to fully understand the neurobiological aspects of pedophilia.

Is a pedophiles born like it?

Pedophilia is classified as a sexual orientation by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-V). It was worded this way to recognize that the sexual attraction to children (pedophilia) is not something that is chosen, any more than any other sexual attraction is. It is unclear if genetics are the only factor in developing pedophilia, or if environmental factors also play a role. Because pedophilia is the sexual attraction to young children and typically requires reaching puberty to develop, one cannot say that pedophiles were born having pedophilia.

Is nympholepsy a disorder?

Yes. Nympholepsy in the specific sense that it refers to a sexual attraction to little girls is a euphemism used for pedophilia (the euphemism is used in the novel Lolita, for example, a fictional case study of a pedophile and child molester). It would therefore be diagnosed as either heterosexual (male) or homosexual (female) pedophilia. Pedophilia is a paraphilia and a serious disorder. Nympholepsy is referred to in a literary or cultural sense to explain the phenomenon of being affected by a desire for something unattainable. It has been associated with some forms of sexual or romantic desire, either inappropriate within society or simply admiration for an unattainable object of desire. The word was used by British and other European authors for the most part.
