I put down Rebel southern classic tall fescue the first of October. itβs now November and I have new growth, can I put down weed and feed or is it to early? I would love to get a jump on all the weeds that I have in my yard.
It happens. Weeds do pop up now and then among newly planted grass. That's because dormant weeds seeds are always present in the soil, and they're waiting to sprout when they get a chance. A good rule of thumb is to wait until you've mowed your new grass at least 4 times before you treat the weeds with a crabgrass preventer or other weed-control product. The exception would be if you are using a weed-control product specifically designed to be used when seeding. As always, remember to read the product label for specific information related to the weed-control product you are using.
When you have time and good weather...which is when the chance of frost is gone.
Generally, weed and feeds are applied in early-mid spring and early fall.
On a dry day, preferably sunny as the weed starts to grow. This ensures the weed absorbs the weedkiller in its feeding process.
Make sure the day is not windy because you don't want to kill other plants.
The best time of the year to apply fertilizer to the lawn is during the spring.
The weed and feed should not affect the seed although you should give it a couple of weeks to react.
The same as using a lawn sprinkler which you should do.

You must fertilize at the proper times of the year and weed your lawn periodically to keep it looking beautiful. Use weed and feed fertilizers and pesticides to revive your lawn if it appears a little lifeless and overgrown. These solutions aid in the development of a lush, edibles weed lawn by introducing vital nutrients into the soil that speed up the growth of your grass. Types of Weed and Feed for Weed Joint There are two types of weed and feed: liquid and granular. Although the liquid forms are simpler and yield quicker results, the granular forms are more cost-effective. Small yards require the use of spray or liquid weed and feed. Granular weed and feed come in 18-lb sacks and larger, covering an area typically 5,000 square feet or more. Granular versions are more cost-effective, but you must water your lawn after application for it to reach the grass. You don't need to fertilize as frequently because specific weed and feed products have slow-release compositions. To get the best effects, start treating your lawn at least once every eight weeks in the spring. Nutrients that help grass cultivate: Nitrogen aids in the appropriate growth and development of the green hue of the grass. Strong root systems can form with the aid of phosphorus. Plants are shielded by potassium from disease, drought, and cold.
