This is a terrible situation for the child. However, they do need to tell someone - if the Mother is around then they should tell their Mother, if not they should tell someone that they trust like an Aunt, Teacher, Social Worker etc. There may also be a telephone number that you can ring for help (in the UK Child-line 0800 1111) or the Samaritans. Finally if you can not seem to get help anywhere else you should go to the police and tell them. You really should not have to live with this going on in your life and you do need to get help but doing so takes courage - in the end things will get better if you do ask for help.
