If a drain is suspected of being clogged with hair, if there is any Nair around, it can be poured down the drain. Let it sit for about a half hour, and then flush with hot water, to remove the clog. If it is suspected that there is a grease buildup in the drain, a few cups of dawn (grease cutting) will do the trick. Pour it in the drain, let it sit for a few hours, then flush with hot water.
If the drain pipe is all clogged up, one should call a plumber or pour bleach down the sink to clear out all the residue or what ever is clogging the pipes.
Sounds like the main pipe is clogged. That's the big drain pipe that all three (toilet, shower, sink) are hooked too. When you plunge the tiolet it pushes back up the shower and sink instead of going down the clogged main pipe. The main pipe might need to be roto-rootered out. You could try some super heavy duty, pour in drain cleaner first. It might work.
If you are talking about a roof water drain pipe to sewer it is illegal. If you are talking about a sink drain pipe well that is where they all connect to so yea.
Any thing from hair to toys to roots or anything you jam down your toilet or drain pipe that wont decompose. I have snaked out a lot of sewer lines and I have to say that the number one reason for a clogged drain line is the pipe is not graded correctly or is back graded from settling. My 2nd most reason is tree roots or damaged pipe. If your home has plastic pipe like DWV ABS or PVC and it all grades perfectly down hill without damaged pipes the chances of having a clog are very very slim. Kitchen drain with disposals are the only drain lines I personally seen that have clogged with perfect grade with plastic drain pipes. Shower and tub drains mostly clog at the shower/tub strainer or trap and very rare clog after that if its plastic pipe and has slope.
You probably shouldent "see" water in the drain, but there is a "P" trap under the drain. The "P" trap holds water @ all times, this keeps exhaust fumes from coming into the living space.if water is not draining properly you may have some restictions ie:hair, soap,or some other debris. Yes there should be. I think it is to keep sewer gases from coming up. If it overflows, or is slow to drain, you may have a clogged pipe.
You can drain it directly into a drain pipe. Just make sure the the top of the drain pipe is even with the top of the washing machine. If not, the water from the washing machine will drain all of the time. There is no valve in the machine to stop the water from draining. The washing machine drains using a pump motor.
If your car seems to idle like it should you may have a clogged fuel filter or clogged exhaust pipe. The clogged exhaust pipe would most like ly be the catalytic convertor. a clogged convertor usually puts off a smell something like rotten eggs. I think I'd start with the fuel filter. Good luck.
Depending on your budget, you may want to call several plumbers to find the best price. Also, ask local people for their reccomendations. Fixing a clogged drain is very common so all plumbers would be able to help.
drain is clogged. or there a hole in drain pan.
In the end, yes. ANS 2 - By "the toilet pipe" -I'm going to assume you mean the drain . -The toilet drain in a small house is generally the main drain. All other drains are connected to it.
All you have to do is add a "Y" pipe or Call a plumber
If you have any water at all coming into the sump, there will always be a little in the bottom unless it stays dry long enough for it to evaporate. The design of the pump doesn't let it pump the last little bit out. If there is not a check valve in the discharge pipe, what is left it the pipe going out will drain back into the sump. If the discharge pipe is connected to the house drain and there was not a check valve in that pipe, depending on where the kitchen clog is, the sink could drain into the sump.
The filter screen at the bottom my need cleaning. Also check the drain hose to see if it is kinked or clogged. If not, check the fitting where the hose connects to see if it maybe clogged.
