You should go to a store like Rite Aid or Walmart and go to the pharmacy. Tell them the symptoms you are having and they will tell you exactly what type of medicine you should buy to help it. You should also drink as many clear beverages as you can each day, such as juice, herbal tea, water, broth, etc. Get more sleep than you usually do. Try to stay away from 'cold' or 'flu' medications, as they only treat your symptoms, not the actual virus. Get rid of as much phlegm as you can...blow your nose, don't sniff it back up. If possible, stay home to prevent the spread of the virus to others.

∙ 12y agoKeep tissues on you at all times :) decongestant or a non drowsy allergy pill to help clear you sinuses. Stay away from dairy because it tends to cause more phlegm. Drink a calming tea, not citrus or anything like that, with the exception of some hot water with lemon in it. Try to stay relaxed, if you feel like it's a more intense cold try to take a nap, everyone gets them, but at home remedies help to make it easier. Hope this helps :)
