The most obvious answer would be to spend some time with somebody that you like or get on well with. Unfortunately, this is not always an option and loneliness is something that every one of us has experienced at one point or another. Some people watch television, others listen to a radio; and some just go to bed and hope that a friend will pop around tomorrow. The truth is, there is no ideal way for controlling this emotion; just do the best that you can.
