Recognizing Signs of Depression Could Save a Life?

Depression is more than simple unhappiness. It is more than just a bad day; depression is a disease that affects millions of people all over the world and it is treatable. If you think someone you know or you yourself is suffering from depression you should know what signs to look for before you approach them about finding help. There is a major difference between feeling down from time to time and suffering from depression, which is a serious disease. A person suffering from depression no longer feels joy in anything it is not a temporary feeling of sadness that passes once you start having fun at an event; it is ongoing. The feeling of hopelessness that you experience is one that will never get better until you ask for help, which is why it is so vital you learn to understand the symptoms of depression. While not every person shows the same signs of depression as others, the most common signs of depression are not difficult to miss. The first symptom is a feeling of complete hopelessness as if though your situation will never improve and nothing you can do will make it better. Along with that comes a loss of interest in the activities in which you partake on a daily basis; this includes sex, spending time with your loved ones and your favorite hobbies. Your weight will fluctuate significantly, whether by gain or loss and your sleep patterns will change dramatically; you either sleep all the time or never. Depression symptoms also include bouts of anger and irritability; your tolerance level is virtually nonexistent and nothing you can do will change that. Your loss of energy makes you feel sluggish and your entire body feels heavy, all the time. Depression makes you hate yourself; you will begin to criticize yourself and feel intense feelings of self hatred. Depression also makes you crave reckless behavior, such as substance abuse or addiction as well as problems concentrating. Depression symptoms should not be taken lightly; if anyone you know is suffering from these symptoms it is time to find help for them. Depression can be treated with professional help and medication.

Well obviously it over and you can either sulk in the corner for the rest of your life wondering what would have happened or you can get on with your life and try to met someone new because if it wasn't her than it could be someone else that you are supposed to be with for the rest of your life. There are plenty of people out there. So maybe you should clean up and get back into the game because if it wasn't meant to be it wasn't meant to be.
