Start the computer in SAFE MODE, (press F5 or F8 at system start-up), then change the properties of the Settings via the Control Panel Display applet, or right click on the Desktop and choose Properties, Settings page.
This can be due to a number of things. They are listed here in the order of simplicity and how invasive they are.
You might need to reinstall your graphics drivers. Corrupt graphics drivers could cause a restart or lockup.
There's the possibility that the PC is overheating. You might need a heavier CPU fan or an additional case fan. In some cases, you'd need a GPU fan (or replace the video card). There is the possibility that if this video card has some age on it, its fan, if it has one, isn't turning fast enough, if at all.
If you just added the card, perhaps to replace an older one, it is possible that the new one is drawing more current than the older on when it switches to high performance mode. In that case, a stronger power supply might be necessary. If you replace it, make sure the new one has all the plugs that your drives, the motherboard, and the video card you are using (or even one you want to use) will need. Most vendors describe what plugs the power supply has so you can know before purchasing online.
Something else to consider is that there might be a problem with the system RAM. The system RAM is often shared with the video card, and when the memory usage jumps, you could be hitting some bad memory cells. This would be something to suspect if the PC randomly locks up or resets at other times as well.
If nothing else, try another video card. It might have bad RAM on it or some other problem. If the video card is older, you might find something that works better than it anyway. If you must shop for one, use a benchmarks site like Passmark to compare your current video card with those you might be interested in purchasing.
Either because you need a new graphics card and your graphics are set on low resolution
Basically, the graphics card controls the pixels (colour and resolution) which allows coloured images - characters and graphics - to appear on the computer's monitor.
You need a better monitor also.

pixels
The servers' bandwidth is too limited to have high-resolution graphics. This makes the servers lag behind requests from your computer.
because initgraph() automatically detect current available graphmode and load it on to the graphdriver.
the number of pixels
It does not have a default screen resolution. If it detects your graphics card and monitor correctly, it will use its resolution automatically. If not, it will probe different VESA resolutions to find one that works, such as 1024 x 768, 800 x 600, or even 640 x 480.
It only says that right after you boot your computer for the first time with the new graphics card. When you install the drivers for the card and set the resolution you want it at then you won't see that notice ever again.
