first of all give it a varity of food items, pinkie, wax worm*, mealworm, goliath worm, crickets, ect. give it a day (no more) than find a local exotic animal vet they'll no whats a matter. make sure its not about to shed they'll refuse food for about 4 days before shedding to tell if it is about to shed look at the color and if it is getting really dark it is. and pattern of when it last shed if not sure TAKE TO VET!!
When I first got my leopard gecko he didn't eat for the first day, I think he was adjusting to his new environment On the second day I placed him in-front of a dish {low down and not sharp} with about 4 meal-worms in and he started to eat them. So try putting him in-front of some meal-worms and see if he won't eat them make the meal-worms wriggle and about and try it again {this should work it did with my leopard gecko} and if he is not eating by now seek expert advice or visit the shop you brought him at for more advice.
Check that the gecko looks healthy if its fat don't feed it for a couple of days then try again if that doesnt work take it to the vets it may have something like impaction?
If you have your gecko on a loose substrate then its likely its got impaction.
a few ways to help impaction.
-- get a very shallow tray of warm water and let your gecko bathe in it then get some olive oil (only a little bit) and let it lick some of it, this will help it need to go to the loo.
ad help to clear impaction if still doesnt work DIFFINATLY TAKE IT TO THE VETS.
there could be many many possibilities:
- their husbandry, lighting, heat, humidity, hides, new home, impaction.
Look into a care sheet and try to minimize anything un necessary. Maker sure all his requirements are being followed. If it's fecal matter is looking runny, or he isnt't pooping at all. See your nearest vet, could have internal parasites.
Either ask your doctor or feed it a new bug or food.
i would probably go back to the pet store and see if this is normal
force feed it
gecko's eat flies and you can buy flies in pet shops all over runescape
no do not feed your gecko anything other than food you get at the pet store
A colorful gecko is a leopard gecko i recommend getting one if your looking for a pet
I would say a Crested Gecko, although you can get a colourful gecko like a loepard gecko
My pet sheep will not eat Azaleas,Impatiens, Rosemary or Lavender.
they can eat food from the pet store but they wont eat the dried corn also hay that rabbits eat
It is uncertain whether or not the Lemon Lime Gecko will ever be the pet of the month.
yes
no, if it is a house pet it cant survive outside of its cozy domesticated life because it isn't used to it. it wouldn't know what to eat or how be a free gecko. hope that helps !_!
Monito gecko's eat insects and spiders
the leopard gecko makes a great pet. they do not have sticky hands so they cannot climb out of the tank and escape
