well, it depends how close you two are. If you've been friends for a while, it will be easier to tell them. If you have just been acknowledging each other, it will probably be harder for you to tell them and it will shock them more. The best way to tell them is to (the in-person way) get them alone and make sure no one is near you two and just tell him that you love them and that they're important to you. Or if you cant get them in person you could call them or text them. Just tell him exactly how you feel.
