I would be thinking long and hard about whether to continue the relationship. Lying (especially about matters of importance) is a very bad sign. People who do this tend to be dishonest in many ways.

If the feeling isn't mutual, you can't force it to be. Can you really be in love with someone that does't love you? You deserve someone who can offer you something in return for your love.
