This is a want, not a need. People grow so much emotionally between the ages of 17 and 23, so you should keep that in mind, because your relationship is going to encompass the years when you should be finishing school and getting experience in a trade as well. Hopefully, you will delay having children so that you can do these things. Realistically, this is not a good idea--it is a nice, romantic thought for your beloved--that you will stick with him through thick and thin, but that is not all that it is about.
