Im only getting like 6 MPG out of my 1993 Rv6 4runner yes its been serviced and tuned what is going on with it?
You probably have multiple problems. I have a 92 and started with getting only about 9 and I now get 18 to 24 depending on load and who drives it. Some things to check and it does take time, is to ensure all the hoses are OK on the emission controls. I found that several of the hard lines were clogged with rust and I needed to bypass them with just hoses. The inside of the intake manifold also had ports clogged giving false information to the computer. The intake air hoses from the air filter also had cracks and needed to be replaced. There was also a hole 2 inches wide in the air baffel between the air filter and the intake manifold where someone had hit the exhaust manifold on the bottom side. Then we also had a small leak in the gas tank hoses that needed to be replaced. Lastly having the transmission serviced so we minimized the slip loss.
