I'm in a American junior high and speak English and French. When they speak or write they have a formal and nonformal way of saying things. Also they say " you have hair black " not " you have black hair ". In art it depends what time period you're talking about, such a modern, gothic, etc. In their buildings they use small but beautiful details, pillars, etc. But in art, its the same as most countries. Simple portraits, paintings, sculptors....
