This is really an amazing story and a real life saver!

My dog swallowed a sock this evening and we were really freaking out.

We googled it and we found out that this was very life threatning to dogs because socks are really known to clog up their intestines and cause them to die.

We called our vet (at 10:30 while he was sleeping i might add) and he told us that we needed to give him one ounce of hydrogen peroxide within 20 minutes of swallowing the sock.

Note: Hydrogen Peroxide makes dogs vomit immediately after consumption.

We opened his mouth and poured the liquid down his throat and within five minutes he was puking all over our living room. We looked through the vomit and there was the sock. We were so fortunate for our doctor and are now very happy to share this story with you to possibly save your dog's life too.

Also remember that for most dogs, things take aproximately 20 minutes for anything to pass from the stomach to the lower intestines and as soon as it does that theres not really a chance of the dog puking it up... After that point i suggest you talk to a vet but the hydrogen peroxide is worth a shot.

It should be taken to a vet. You should take him to the vet as soon as possible, because intestinal blockage can cause a whole host of other problems that could really hurt your dog. Im sure the vet has a way to deal with this problem, seeing as how dogs are always eating weird things.

If a dog has eaten socks they should be taken to a veterinarian. The socks could get tangled up in their stomach and cause them harm.

Immediately visit the vet. The vet will be able to retrieve the sock if it is still in the dog's stomach or if it's too late for that, they may wish to monitor the dog until the sock passes.

There is little you can do except to observe. The dog may regurgitate the sock and may need help. Otherwise you will just have to let nature take its course.
