An amazing ending is better because the reader will be able to remember the piece of writing even after it is finished. It is better to go out with a bang, then to start with one because then the reader won't get bored.
You can not simply become a mind reader. You have to either be born one or be taught how to "listen". I am sadly not a mind reader but I do have a device called The Wizard and that can do many things including read minds!
