For a 1993 Ford Taurus : ( DOT 3 brake fluid meeting Ford specification ESA-M6C25-A )
I would use 10W30 in the engine

Of course you can but Ford recommends SAE 5w20 oil for your Taurus. So why in the world would you want to use an oil that Ford does not recommend? The answer to your question is NO, use SAE 5w30 and nothing else if you want the engine to last for many years of trouble free driving.
