Electric powered, there isn't much, but if you have a gas powered one, there are a lot of things including better fuel, a lighter body or a whole new engine. Adjust the carburetor to it's leanest setting without stalling the car or breaking the connecting rod. Best way to do this is with an infra-red heat reader. Take note of engine temperature after every run,and adjust the carbs to lean side one increment at a time. Of course you have to consider the outside air temperature and humidity. Remember in racing the saying is, "To finish first, first you must finish." good luck.. == Many years ago, I met a man who worked on gas engines by re-boring the cylinders just like you do with a hot rod car. I don't know what is involved with this or there is anyone that does this for a fee. Something you could check into. ANSWER you actually can add a nitous oxcide system to nitro engines now.
