It is my understanding that a dog is an "air breathing creature", thus a nephesh, the word used in Genesis 2:7 . That is my contribution to the answer to the question. I am not prepared to take it further. Be my quest. <<<Do not know what that was about; peoplle breathe air, as well; whether The Bible, particularly in the Torah portion, actually diescusses whether animals have souls or not: for what it is worth: The Torah is specific about treating animals, kindly (Book of Proverbs);Balaam's donkey was granted the ability to speak to his Master and the Angel said specifically the donkey would have been "spared" if it did not help Balaam avoid death (book of Numbers);animals in general were sacrificed before the coming of Christ in recompense for sins as a demonstration of the heavy cost of sin on one's soul (suggesting the relation of animal to soul); a whale was asked to swallow a human and not digest for God's purposes (book of Jonah); Christ said that were people not to praise him the stones would arise and praise him (book of Matthew) suggesting souls in all things God created perhaps?; a specific Donkey was sent for by Christ to be rode upon; the Torah is specific about not cooking an animal in its mother's milk (suggesting the integrity of an animal); the trees of the forest are said to rustle with praise for God suggesting again souls of all things God created (book of Psalms); and, finally, at least in English, the word "animal" is derived from the root word "anim" which means "spirit"
If it is our business to determine who or what has a soul, the above might help this quest for an answer

According to the Bible only man has a soul and thus nothing happens to a dog's soul, since there isn't one.
Soul of the Bible was created in 1972.
You shall love Yahuah with all your heart ,mind, and soul. You shall love yoour neighbor as your self. Upon these hangs all the Law and the Prophets.
" Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."
The exact opposite would appears to be the message of this verse, from the King James version.....Jam 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
It depends, do you want a soul mate(that you don't have to marry) or a friend. Cats are soul mates. Dogs are friends. I prefer dogs but just because you can play with them, but you have to remember exercise.
Jesus is name of our soul.
The Bible is the soul authority
