George Washington Carver was born from 1861-1864 people aren't really sure on it. But he and his mother were kidnapped by slave raiders known as bushwhackers. Carver was later abandoned by the raiders and his mother was never found after that. Since he was born a slave his mother's master raised Carver and his brother Jim as their own. George left the farm where he grew up on when he was around the age of twelve so he could get an education and find out the answers to all the questions he had.
