There are two ways to measure this:
Total snowfall - 60.1cm
Total precipitation - 56.6mm
The total snowfall number is the one you're probably interested in; that's the actual depth of solid snow that fell. The total precipitation is figured out by taking the snow that fell and melting it, and comparing that to an equal amount of rainfall, to determine the actual amount of water that fell.
