The first concert Kurt ever saw was a concert with The Melvins. After a while and getting to know them better, he traveled with them to some places at times. I think they got him into playing the guitar, he was into drums at the time. Soon, after a while the Melvins introduced him to Krist Novoselic who would later be the bassist for Nirvana. Then, much later on...They introduced Kurt and Krist to Dave Grohl; a former drummer of a band named Scream, that would later become the drummer for Nirvana.
EDIT: This is a much disputed point due to Kurt's habit of giving many different answers to the same question. In some interviews (for e.g the Michael Azzerard interview quoted in the book Come As You Are) he claims the first gig he ever saw was Black Flag's last ever show on June 25th 1986.
However the book Heavier Than Heaven by Charles Cross claims that the first gig he ever saw was Sammy Hagar and that for weeks afterwards he proudly wore an oversized Hagar t-shirt to school. The source info for that was a schoolfriend of Cobain's who attended the show with him.
Kurt was actually dominantly left handed but was also ambidextrous; he would usually write left handed and later learned how to write right handed. I even saw a quote by him saying " I'm left handed."
Well I saw him in September 1975 at De Montfort Hall
I don't see why not, honestly if i saw a guy at a Jonas Brothers Concert, i would applaud them. :)
Yes i saw a video of his concert and he was shuffling
Reportedly 250,000
There is almost no chance Kurt is alive..... Believe me, thousands of people saw his dead body. also,if he were alive, he would've been noticed.
Depends on what you mean by their first concert, and the definition of concert. I saw them open for Pat Benatar back in 1981 in Lincoln, Nebraska. They were great!
