The Naval Collier USS Cyclops- an ungainly looking thing , looking a bit like a collision between a tanker hull and a bunch of cranes- went missing in the area during World War I. the Vessel"s commander, a Captain Worley, was of German extraction and there were rumors he deliberately sabotaged the vessel, may have made a deliberate explosion or crash somewhere- nothing was ever found- the huge vessel remains missing. This was involving a Navy- albeit non-combatant vessel, and was , as one might assume investigated by the Navy department. One Eye in the- err, Bermuda Triangle, paraphrasing (Your so Vain!)

Is Bermuda triagle is myth?

The first use of the term was in a 1964 article that was published in 'Argosy' by Vincent Gaddis called 'The Deadly Bermuda Triangle'. Then in 1974, two books were published, 'The Bermuda Triangle' by Charles Berlits and 'The Devil's Triangle' by Richard Winer. These books turned out to be very popular and the idea caught on, making this an excellent subject to sell books and magazines. These two books were the source for the popular terms. Since that time, many stories and urban legends have been told about this area; there seems to be no end to the fanciful spin that people enjoy with these stories. But the fact is, the Bermuda Triangle area is one of the most popular and heavily travelled areas of the western world. Every cruise ship that sails out of Miami sails into the Triangle. Everyone who lives in and travels by plane or ship between Bermuda, Miami, Peurto Rico and the Bahamas travels through the Bermuda Triangle. So, it's safe to say that the Bermuda Triangle is a myth; but you are free to enjoy the stories if it suits you.

Was 'Marie Celeste' found in the Bermuda Triangle?

No, Marie Celeste was not found in the Bermuda Triangle. The name references the main ship in the short story "J. Habakuk Jephson's Statement" published by Arthur Conan Doyle (May 22, 1859 - July 7, 1930) in Cornhill Magazine in January 1884. The short story presents the ship, based upon the events of 1872 in the sailing career of the hermaphrodite brig Mary Celeste, as sailing from Louisiana to Africa without any stops in the Bermuda Triangle.
