SS, standns for Syds Sutche (sorry about the spelling). It was a derivate from the SA, that basically was a mob, supervisded by Hermann Goering in the beginning. The SA was basically trumpedet out to be a security guard for the leading NSDAP members and that they, supposedly whaere an athletic club. The only athletic thing they did was street-fights though. --

In the beginning of the war, WWII, they acted as bodyguards for him. They also ran the concentration camps and firing squads. Then they were trained to be elite soldiers and fought many tough battles.

So in other words, they were the dicks who didn't have hearts.

The ss helped Hitler by basically being a personal bodyguard. For one man there were thousands of specially trained men. They later on ran the concentration camps.
