The day the Rapture occurs will be a day just like any other day. Well, probably there will be some kind of international tension, just like there is today. Rumors of wars, threats of terrorist acts etc. It is a major mistake for Christians to be debating and fighting about pretrib, or postrib stuff, that is, if the Rapture will occur after the tribulation or before the tribulation. fighting about it is just a waste of time.

Going back to the day the Rapture actually happens. Some people will be working,in school, shopping, or at the hospital, driving, etc..., and in the other side of the world, some people will be asleep. Those who are awake (or asleep), who are christians, saved by faith in Jesus, will suddenly be taken up in the air, in their physical bodies, but transformed into new incorruptible bodies. Pay attention: This will be totally a physical experience, and not just a spiritual experience. They will be taken up to a celestial region, somewhere in the Universe. No, this is not a crazy E.T. doctrine. No. Just think about it. You are taken up in your physical body, to a spiritual etherial place? No, not at all. The place where you will finally meet Jesus, will be a physical place. Experts say this event will be called the Wedding of The Lamb, and the celebration will last for 7 years.

Now, going back again to those who didn't have faith in Jesus as the only way to get to God, or those who turned their backs on Jesus, they will stay on earth after the Rapture happens. Suddenly, a husband will look for his wife and children, and they all may be gone. Dissapeared. Some churches in some part of the world will be worshiping, suddenly, will be empty, or half empty (and the preacher will be left alone or preaching to choir!). Some people will open their Laptops to check on the Drudge Report, (actually I had a dream about it), and they will read that thousands, may be millions, suddenly disappeared from the face of the earth in a second. Some people, specially those related to christians who disappeared, will right away know that the Rapture just happened. For others it will take some time to assimilate it.

How will this will be explained? There are many theories, but according to my studies, the most prominent one is that, actually most people will believe that this was a fake Rapture staged by some government or religion. (There is actually a book being sold right now, that is trying to make people believe that the governments are planning for a fake Rapture). That's a lie! There is no fake Rapture.

Others will firmly believe that millions were abducted by aliens (seriously). Of course there will be a horrible world reaction to the Rapture. Thousands of suicides, deaths, terrorist acts, etc., just as a response to the Rapture, and THEN, is when the world government (which is already being formed), will try to establish a way to account for every human being on earth, census like, which will include a permanent mark, who will enable individuals to belong to the new world order and be able to buy, sell, have businesses, passports, etc.

Will the man of sin, the so called "antichrist" be revealed after the Rapture? Yes. It is more likely that it will happen after the church "is gone".

This is my explanation, without Bible quotes. This is what will happen the day the Rapture occurs. Many people will not agree with this explanation. To them I say, you all must realize that there is no perfect interpretation that tells us what will exactly happen. If you believe that your interpretation of the Scriptures on this matter, is the correct one, then you are already wrong. Neither mine nor yours is the right one. We must have faith in Jesus, and in Jesus only. Faith in Jesus is the only one right interpretation of the things to come.

Jesus Christ will return for His church and all believers who have accepted Him as their Savior will be caught up in the air to meet Him.

1 Thess. 4:17 (NIV): "After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever."

Millions of Christians believe that when the world comes to an end, Christians will be 'raptured' bodily up to heaven. This is not a biblical concept but theological concept invented by John Nelson Darby, a nineteenth-century British evangelical preacher and founder of the Plymouth Brethren. Barbara R. Rossing (The Rapture Exposed) says that according to one critic, the Rapture has its origins in 1830 when fifteen-year-old Margaret MacDonald attended a healing service. There, she was said to have seen a vision of a two-stage return of Jesus Christ, and the story of her vision was adopted and amplified by Darby.

According to Darby, Christians will be whisked up everywhere around the world, leaving non-believers behind. Aeroplanes will crash because the pilots and crew are absent, there will be car smashes, and safety equipment everywhere will fail. There would be cacophony. Fortunately, the rapture merely comes from the imagination of a preacher and will never occur.

Why is it only called rapture if it happens to a Christian but called demonic possession if a non-Christian experiences rapture?

Demonic possession in any case isn't referred to as rapture. What you are talking about are two completely different things. The rapture, according to some Christian denominations, is when Christ comes back seven years before the end of the world and "raptures" up all of his followers. Afterward there are seven years of horrible punishments rained down on the rest of mankind. Note that not all Christians believe in the rapture; the rapture and hellfire doctrines are confined mainly to the more fundamentalist Christian churches.

Is it ok to use the word rapture?

It should be. It's usually okay to say words like hell and rapture. If you say, "go to hell", or something then it's a bad word. But if you say, "I don't want to go to hell", or "I won't die in the rapture", then it should be okay.
