The wax melts
the chemical change is that the firework burns and that is irreversible also because of oxidation.
and the Physical change is that when the firework is lit by a wax taper is that the light from the candle stays longer then a normal lighter!
Hope that helps..
The wax melts
Sounds sort of dangerous to me. Lighting fireworks with a taper, on the other hand, sounds OK.
it burns

The change is that the firework is lit
Phisical re action: when the wax turns to liquid when the liquid cools down it turns to solid which goes back to its own form again soryy i don't know the chemical reaction
The "lava" is a mixture of carbon tetrachloride, mineral oil and paraffin wax. The liquid it floats in is water. The light source is a 40-watt light bulb. When the bulb melts the wax, it will do the lava thing on its own.
Just like logs on a campfire or oil in an old-fashioned lamp, wax in a candle is actually fuel for the flame itself. The candle continues burning as long as there is wax to be melted & soaked into the wick. As it burns, the wax oxidizes into water vapor, CO2, and, of course, light. Wax continues to melt around the flame and soak up the wick to be used as fuel, causing the candle appear to "disappear" as we watch it burn.
Solvent wax refers to solvents that remove wax. The solvent is able to dissolve, or get rid of, the wax.
A wax taper is a candle that is big at one end and gets smaller as you get to the other end. a wax taper can also be used to light other things.
Oxidation.
It is a long thin wax candle, the kind you see in carefully posed photographs of thanksgiving suppers.

taper (noun) means: a candle especially a slender one; a long wick coated with wax taper in a sentence: Abraham Lincoln lit tapers to study for law in his log cabin. or To create a romantic atmosphere, the woman lighted tapers on the dining room table. hope I helped!
