A 'well maintained' vampire can pass off for entirely human: certainly plenty of people have been fooled, even seduced by such. Some widows are even reputed to have children by their un-dead husbands.

(Just unusual now, not the super-hero types exaggerations found in cheap novels.) * As a vampire gets older he may (probably will) grow in knowledge and acquire new skills. An old vampire will be wise and have many resources. (Beware)
* Being a dead body a vampire will often 'feel his condition' and have long periods of inactivity and sultriness particularly after a heavy feed or recuperating from injuries. Now becoming a vampire is not always an easy process and many 'dead victims' do not make the transition completely.
* Partially paralyzed or even having part of the body rotted away. * Incomplete mentality. If a vampire is not 'well maintained' he will begin to deteriorate and exhibit the following signs:
* Pallor from anemia, lack of blood. * Agitation, progressing to extremes and finally frenzy. * Aggression (of the worst sort)
* Hair falling out * dying skin * weight loss * rotting
