The way years are kept now are how many years after Jesus. This year is 2009 A.D. 2009 years after the birth of Christ. So the date we give him is 0. So in 1 A.D. He was 1 year old. In the old times before Jesus, say the year, for example is 709 B.C., it goes backwards. That would be 709 years before the birth of Jesus. Back then of course they didnt know Jesus was coming so they accounted the years in the current king's reighn. Say the third year of the reign of King David. Jesus was crucified in 33 A.D., but He was born in the year 0.

Jesus was born around 6 BC. The Bible gives no indication that anything other than a normal gestation of 9 months occurred. Since Jesus was born in the northern hemisphere autumn (while shepherds were still outdoors with their flocks) it has been suggested that the conception occurred sometime around when we currently celebrate Christmas.

In Christianity if god the father caused Mary to conceive Jesus then why don't we hear about Mary the wife of father god because after all god says marriage vows are unbreakable?

God was not married to Mary, the conception of Jesus Christ was not like it is for us humans, no physical contact ensued. It was an act of the Holy Spirit and happened supernaturally. For GOD nothing is impossible!

What was Jesus' father name?

Joeseph Answer. Joseph would have been the obvious choice as there are few who believe in the miraculous birth of Jesus. If one does then the father of Jesus would have had to have been God. It is not beyond the capability of God to plant a seed into Mary so that she would conceive. How this was done is beyond our comprehension.
