go to the control panel and un-install the drive unit, then shut the computer down totally. Let it re-boot and see if it then locates the drive. If it re-installs it with no problem then try a DVD in it. If it still does not, you probably need to update your drivers.
I don't think you can block it for any computer. But you definitely can do it on a local computer or in the centralized network where permissions are enforced by a server. Just change the permission so users can't change file properties. I'm not sure if you can block from reading file properties because then the OS will not be able to open the drive at all. But at least you should try.
You can get RAM details by right clicking computer or the hard drive by clicking computer and looking at the max capacity off the separate drives. :)
The second drive can certainly be installed, but the computer will only recognize the boot block of the "C" drive. alternate bootloaders can be installed that take over the boot block, and will allow mutliple Operating Systems.
this means you cannot use it ever again in that computer. right click on the drive then click properties. Then click the hardware tab. Then select the hardware you want to block from the list. Then right click on it then click properties . On the window that appears click the drivers tab then click disable driver. To stop it from running on your computer.

what is the l drive in a computer
It all depends on what they came out of. It is my understanding that there were four different versions of the 2.5L 4 cylinder block. Front wheel drive versions put the starter on the right side of the block. (looking at the front or vibration damper end) Rear wheel drive versions put the starter on the left side of the engine, where the transaxle would be on a front wheel drive engine. The other two versions differed by the bolt holes that hold the front mounting bracket to the bottom of the block. So from the above if the 1989 block was for a front wheel drive car and the 1994 block was from a rear wheel drive vehicle the difference would be the starter location.
The "A:" drive is the first floppy disk drive.

If you are upgrading a desktop computer hard drive, you will need to purchase a 3.5-inch drive available in most department stores. Laptops use a 2.5-inch hard drive. 2.5-inch hard drives also are common and easy to find if you are looking to upgrade.
