The rule is that all kinds of food is allowed to eat in Islam except what is forbidden explicitly by Quran or Prophet Muhammad sayings or practices.
Refer to Quran, chapter 5, verse 3 to find the specifics of the forbidden food in Islam.
Prophet Muhammad emphasized also that wild animals and birds are also forbidden to eat in Islam, as in other religions.
