You chose the size of the AED pads by the size of the adult.
Any AED system will be OK; but the pads are specific to the AED so make sure to get the correct replacement pads.
Make sure the pads are compatible with the AED; otherwise there is no difference in the pads chosen.
Inside the AED box, there are packages marked "adult" and "child" AED pads. Child AED pads are only used for children under 8.
