World War 2 ended in March on 1945. WWII ended because the Red Army captured Berlin and the American/US Army launched Two Nuclear/Atomic Bombs on two of Japans major cities.
The first bomb which was a bomb that used the element Uranium landed on Hiroshima causing massive damage.
The second bomb which used the man-made element Plutonium landed on Nagasaki causing alot but not as much damage to Hiroshima as it did to Nagasaki.
The upside of that was Nagasaki had less military building and armored vehicles depots to destroy.
