Depends on whether it a cv axle or drive shaft on the front. Fords use drive shafts for a long time and when cutting the wheel deep it would bind up and make a loud bang
If it is a front wheel drive sometimes a bad cv joint can cause a popping sound when you are turning.
two wheel drives have two turning wheels. Four wheel drives have four turning wheels, meaning that it has twice the turning power of a two wheel drive.
A continious dull banging coming from the wheel when turning
if its a front wheel drive vehicle then it could be the axels
yes they sound like 4 wheel drive mud tires when bad you can tell what side is bad by turning the wheel slightly to the left and then right while going straight
if front wheel drive perhaps cv axles.
If you vehicle is front-wheel drive, more than likely, that grinding crunching sound when you turn is coming from the CV joints.
A Geo Metro is a front wheel drive vehicle. When a squealing noise occurs when the wheel is turning, it can be an indication of damage to the CV joints.
possibly your wheel bearing is on its way out
Type your answer here... if it is a front wheel drive it could need c.v.Joint's. Just a thought
Either you tire is rubbing or if its a front wheel drive it could be you "CV" axle's... Other than that i don't know i hope that helps?
Your 4 wheel drive may be engaged. Take out of 4 wheel drive and put it in reverse. Drive the car in reverse while turning the steering wheel all the way from one side to the other until it disengages.
