There are many solvent glues that have been specifically formulated for use with different plastic pipes. Depending on the schedule of the piping 40, 80 etc what type of glu…e you want to use, some are slow setting some set very quickly and the choice of the glue also would depend on the ambient temperature and humidity factor. It also depends on whether you want to use the glue for waste or water. Water PVC pipes need high pressure glue where as waste pipes don't.
CPVC is better suited for hot water
did you mean pcv? if you did mean pvc, then it depends if you want to use it for water or for waste. and if for water, how many bars of pressure will be in the pipe and …for waste is underground or not. unless these questions are answered the answer to this question is vast.
Schedule 40 Foam Core pipe can be used for DWV systems, and Schedule 40 pressure rated pipe (PW) should be used for water lines, and can also be used for DWV. CPVC can a…lso be used for water lines.
No, certainly not. PVC pipes can only take a certain tempreature and in most cases cannot withstand tempreatures above 60 degrees celcius. if a thermostat fails in a geyser an…d the hot water over boils and you run water through your PVC pipes, they can melt causing severe damage. the best pipes to use are copper and galvanised depending where you live.
PVC is commonly used in plumbing
I think it stands for Poly Vinyl Chloride.
No you shouldn't. It will fail inspection. Use electrical (grey) conduit. It is about the same price and has the proper electrical insulating properties required. The th…icker PVC(schedule 40) is best, although schedule 80 is acceptable. (Schedule 40 is required for underground service feeders.)
3" Min - 4" is Max
Because it is NON Toxic
NO !!!! Must be Galvanized pipe with threaded fittings or Copper piping with flare fittings. If there ever was a fire, the PVC pipe would burn & burst allowing the propane gas… to flow out and explode !!
Sounds like it's worth trying, -good idea .
