The Star Wars universe is huge. Most Jedi are nomads or stay on one planet offering help whenever needed. But when the Clone Wars began in the film Episode 2: Attack of the Clones, the numbers went down dramatically and frequently. In that huge battle at the end of the film, that caused the deaths of 200 Jedi alone!
