Peaches are pretty much cosmopolitan in distribution and are grown in many countries across the globe.
They need a cold winter period (above of below freezing) for flower set and warm summers with adequate rain. This does restrict their range slightly, they grow better in areas with low humidity as elevated humidity can result in fungal infections.
