drain bolt is on the left side (clutch side) and check bolt is on the right side (engine side)
It's located on the left side of the transmission toward the middle of the engine.
The drain plug is behind the rear foot brake (12mm) and the check bolt is toward the front of the tranny underneath the big allen head cap, and it is a 10mm.
The tranny drain plug is located on the right side of the engine and if you are looking at the engine from the right side, it is located on the very bottom left hand corner of the engine.
Some of transmission doesn't have drain plug ,the best thin to drain your transmission is losing the bolts and draining slowly the fluid ,at least that you have a machine to drain the entire fluids.
There is no transmission dipstick, there are only fill and drain bolts located on the transmission assembly.
There is no drain plug on the tranny, you have to take all the bolts out of the pan and drop the pan.
It does not have one. You must get a big catch pan/ drain pan to catch all the fluid when you remove all the small bolts that holds the drain pan to the transmission.
Unless there is an actual drain plug on the pan then you have to remove the bolts holding the pan. R.W.
no drain plug on the transmission you have to loosen the bolts on the pan.start from one corner and work your way around the transmission pan be ready alot of fluid is gona come out
There is no drain plug. barely loosen all the bolts on the pan, then loosen the bolts in a corner your fluid should begin to drip out of that corner. When there are no more drips remove all the blots and drop the pan to drain the rest and replace the filter.
Chevy did not use a transmission drain plug on that year. You MUST remove the Big medal pan, The one that has all the small bolts holding it to the bottom of the transmission. It will be full of fluid... Be sure to have a LARGE drain pan.
Usually you drain and replace it...;)
