The Space Shuttle (Endeavor) empty weighs about 78,000 kg (172,000 lb) with the boosters give a total liftoff weight of 2,000,000 kg (4,400,000 lb) [See Link]
you will see the last space shuttle launch in... and in a place called...
You can not see the space shuttle on Earth, but you can see it in a rocket!
The Dulles Airport shuttle (aka the Super Shuttle) serves a wide radius. A rider should go to the Super Shuttle site to see which stop is closest to them and can best serve as a pick up spot. Reservations can be made by calling Super Shuttle at 800 258-3826
After liftoff, the space shuttle rolls upside down as early as possible so that the commander and pilot will see the Earth's horizon as early as possible. During launch, the shuttle is constantly pitching over until it is eventually parallel with the Earth's surface. The pitching maneuver will make the Earth's horizon slowly come into the astronaut's view from above. Having this view would make it possible for the commander to manually steer the shuttle into orbit in the extremely unlikely even of an automatic guidance system failure. If the shuttle was right-side up, the external tank would block the commander's view.
If the weather is clear, the shuttle launches can be seen from Walt Disney World.
The space shuttle is called Atlantis.
China is probably the best place to see it.
