She didn't get her diary (Kitty) from the annex. Her parents Otto and Edith Frank gave it to her for her 13th birthday present. If you read her diary, it gives you tons more information than on the internet, apart from me just then, because that was true!
Anne Frank received her diary on her 13th birthday, June 12, 1942, as a gift from her parents. She named it "Kitty" and began writing in it shortly after receiving it. The diary became her confidante during her time in hiding in the Secret Annex.
