Everyone dies, and when all chemical reactions cease you die. Your body will decompose if you decide to get buried. Primitive societies benefited from man-made gods. A belief is a vague idea supported only by the confidence that people place in it. If we know something to be a fact, we do not say that we "believe" in it. If people know the facts of a situation, they have no need for beliefs.
Heaven is imaginary because it's an illusion fabricated by human imagination. A lot of people are scared of death, so they will lean towards false hopes and promises. Death just means your time is up on this planet and life will still proceed without you.
