There are many countries in Europe and many different languages, so there are many answers to that question, not any one single answer. So it depends on what country in Europe you are in. There are many other countries and languages.
Of course they speak Chinese! Chinese is not a language, it's a family of languages. Of this family, Mandarin is the one spoken by the most people (around 750million) Comment: I'm living in mainland China. They're a lot of languages in China, but now the government implements only Mandarin as official language. So when we communicate with people from other parts of China , we would use Mandarin. But When we talk to our relatives or friends from the same place, we would use our native languages.I guess only people in Peking would talk to their parents in standard Mandarin, almost every province in China has its own language, and sometimes even in the same province different cities speak different languages. But no matter what language we speak,we use the same Chinese words.Because these different languages are formed of historical reasons, in ancient China, the whole territory was often separated into different countries for they were at war to each other .But those innocent people simply just wanted to survive, whenever one city was invaded and taken ,a lot of people would run to a new place to start a new life and even the the time changes they still isolated themselves by speaking their originally languages. Can you imagine how many Kings there used to be in China? Each period of King ruled over this land there would be thousands of immigrated people. That's why we have so many languages but only one sort of words. EDIT! EDIT! EDIT! I think you are refering to the 12 Dynasties period of China. Like: Xia, Shang, Zhou, Qin, Han, Three Kingdoms, Jin, South and Northern Dyansties, Sui, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing

== There are 7 people, not including the french. The french question doesn't make sense. If it said, "3 of the 8 french people couldn't speak none," that would be clearer. So, there are 7+5== 12 people who can speak english, while the remaining(which is 3) people can't speak english. Simple as that. Simple addition. ===
