Most of the E-class wagons have the hydraulic suspension systems for the rear level control. This fluid is also used as the power steering fluid in this car. The reservoir is on the front right side of the engine if looking in from the front of the car. Note, this takes hydraulic fluid though, and not Power Steering fluid. The part number for the fluid is: A 001-989-03-10. This is good for 1996 up to 2001. Its called Fuchs, Titan zh 5364 B. Hope this helps!

the filter is built into the power steering reservoir . the filter cant be replaced separately . the reservoir itself should be replaced.
I called my Mercedes Benz shop (Holloway Motors) in Manchester, NH and the guy (Chris) said it was ok to use approved Dexron 111 ATF in place of the power steering fluid from the dealership because I live far from there and wanted a replacement that was SAFE! He read this straight from his manual so I trust him.
If your standing at the front bumper looking at the engine, it's at your right ( driver side) just to the right of the oil filter black cap. You might need to lift the top engine cover panel at front . You should see power steering pump with cap . The cap has a built in dipstick and should be checked at operating tempature.
can 22in. rims fit on a E-320 Mercedes Benz Wagon
Bolted to the inner fender well, look for the line that comes up from the pump
