I have the 2.4 L, Z24 1996 Cavalier. On mine, it was a red cap (with a small hose going to it) located under the air filter hose. The best way to put in Transmission Fluid would be to get a long and skinny funnel (to reach the trans fluid cap). We used a long wrench to reach down and unscrew the cap.
Is yours a sealed transmission? You'll want to check the tranny fluid level first before adding any fluid. To do this, you must jack up your car, and run your engine for a few minutes. While applying the brakes, go through all the gears, then back in to park. Under your car, there is a tranny drain plug, when you unscrew that, the tranny fluid will just drip out if it is full. You can add fluid until it just drips out.
on the top of the trans is a red cap it is for filling no dip stick is the problim there is a weired looking bolt look through the right side of the front tire and you see it you have to remove it and fill trans ontill the fluid runs out
Automatic, the fluid can be added through the transmission dipstick tube. Standard, fluid has to be pumped in through a fill plug on the side of the trans.
There will be a fill plug on the side of the trans, fill it until fluid comes out of the hole and seal it back up.
It is attached to the oil fill cap located front and center in your engine compartment.
Fill it at the same place you check the fluid level.
you have to go from under the car on the drivers side. there is a dip stick/fill hole
There is check level fill plug just like a standard tranny.Find the plug and check or fill as necessary.I believe it is at the rear.
there is RED CAP on the fill hole it will say TRANS FLUID there is a bolt on passenger side you will remove then check while running to see if fluid runs out. pain to do ..
remove drain plug and fill plug uses dexron gm auto trans fluid
You fill the trans fluid thru the dipstick you check the level at.
you use the trans dipstic tube to add or fill with fluid.
There should be a dip stick for this purpose either behind the engine or beside it. It will be red, possibly labeled TRANS FILL.
