It is under the driver's side dash on the side of the fuse box facing the frame. Impossible to see without a mirror and a flashlight. Take the bottom of the fuse block off and stick the mirror up along the side of the fuse box facing the driver's side. Shine the flashlight up there and you should see it printed on a sticker with a barcode on it. It is 5 digit bold number.

Press the 3/4 button within 5 seconds of unlocking the drivers door with the keypad and all other doors and the liftgate will unlock ( at least that's the way it is on my 1995 Ford Explorer XLT )
