The bar mitzvah can be held more-or-less absolutely anywhere at all, so long as there are at least 10 men there aged 13 or more.

Some boys are bar mitzvah outdoors, some at the Kotel (the Western Wall in Jerusalem) but most are bar mitzvah in their local synagogue.

The party, which normally takes place the following day, which celebrates the bar mitzvah can be held anywhere you like, but only kosher food should be served.

If the boy has now become the man, let's start him off on the right foot.

Bar Mitzvahs are generally celebrated wherever there are Jews to celebrate them.

In terms of actual places, Jews typically celebrate the Bar Mitzvah ceremony in a synagogue in front of the community. There is also a party which occurs either later at the synagogue or in a local hall for such meetings.

A boy becomes a bar mitzvah automatically when he turns 13. It doesn't matter where the boy is when he turns 13. If the family chooses to celebrate that occasion, they can do it anywhere they want. Contrary to popular belief, there is no such thing as a "bar mitzvah ceremony".

Typically, A bar mitzvah helps lead the Saturday morning prayer service, which involves chanting from the Torah. But this is technically not a bar mitzvah ceremony; it is a Shabbat morning service that the Bar mitzvah takes part in for the first time as an adult (in the eyes of Judaism).

Following the service, there may be a party which can be held almost anywhere.

A bar mitzvah is wherever the boy in question is when he turns 13. If you're referring to the ceremony held to celebrate a boy becoming a bar mitzvah, that is normally held in a synagogue.

When a child becomes bar or bat mitzvah, it is traditional to celebrate. The celebration typically involves convening a minyan for prayers in which the new young adult can participate in as an adult, and then hosting a festive kiddush meal to celebrate this. Usually, the prayer service is a Saturday morning service in a synagogue, and the kiddush luncheon follows in the social hall, but sometimes, the Friday evening service is also involved, with Kiddush after the service. I have seen bar and bat mitzvot celebrated at Saturday afternoon services also, and sometimes, at weekday services. Particularly in the case of weekday services, rented facilities may be involved -- I have seen bar and bat mitzvah celebrations in municipal venues such as city park banquet halls, and also in hotel banquet facilities.

Can you sent a birthday card in bar mitzvah?

For answering this question I need to know if you are going the the Bar Mitzvah or not. Usually in a Bar Mitzvah There is a ceremony with a party, and then it's customary to bring a present and not just a card. If you are not going to the Bar Mitzvah ceremony you can only send a card. Should you go to the Bar Mitzvah or not? It's totally up to you and how close you are with the family.
