It's "present tense" not past [had]. John's "vision" reveals that this is how Jesus looks TODAY!
And it's not "hair LIKE wool," but "...WHITE like wool, as WHITE AS SNOW..." (Rev.1:14). It's the color of His hair... not its texture.
Revelation 1:14 as shown below:
Revelation 1:14
The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire.
John, in a vision, describes the awesome appearance of the now resurrected glorified Christ. Most English versions do not say lambs wool but this:
Revelation 1:14-16New King James Version (NKJV)
14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; 15 His feet werelike fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; 16 He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.
John's language describes the Son of God as simply dazzling and since we each have the opportunity to be like Him in our spiritual life, this is how we will look too.
You may be referring to Revelations 1:14.
Revelation 1:14; Daniel 7:9; Daniel 10:6; Revelation 19:12; Revelation 2:18; Matthew 28:3
14 nThe hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. oHis eyes were like a flame of fire,
In the King James version this is part of the Book of Revelations - It is a 'vision' and so it does not refer to Jesus when he was on Earth. * Rev 1:14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. Daniel 7:9 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire Revelation 1:14 Note- this refers to Jesus in His heavenly body, not His earthly body.
In the book of Revalations John described Jesus Christ as He will look on His return. "His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow...".
There is no mention in the bible if whether Jesus' hair was long or short. We assume that his hair was long due to where we read about other men in the bible, during that time period, who had long hair. However, John in Revelation 1:14 saw Jesus as, "His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow;...". Jesus DID have His say about long hair on men when He inspired I Cor 11:14, "nature itself teaches you that if a man has long hair it is a shame to him". We know that our Lord Jesus Christ had NO shame. What He had was white as wool and snow - mine is white but with some darker in it. That's as close as I can get to being just like Jesus! He was NOT a Nazarite which had vows including long hair and not touching dead bodies which He did to raise them from the dead. Jesus was raised in Nazareth making Him a Nazarene without that Old Testament vow. Jesus had to be identified by Judas and was paid to do it! He looked like any other ordinary disciple and man of that time. Did you ever notice that in drawings the disciples and other men have relatively short hair and Jesus has long?
no because Jesus has no race. he's not black or white the only thing he is, is Jewish because of his mom
Revelation 1:14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. It says in the bible in revelation 1:14 Jesus's head was white, only white people have white heads, so yes Jesus was a white man. It is also possible that he is albino, with white hair, red eyes and white eyes, making albino people really, really awesome.
When wool is burned it smell like hair burning because it is hair. It's the hair of sheep (and certain other animals like goats, etc.)
god is black because in the bible it says that his hair was like sheep's wool and i dont no 1 black person wth nappy hair
burnibg wool smells like buning hair becuase both wool and hair comes from animals and has protein amount in it....
No, wool (like all hair and fur) is protein. Cellulose is carbohydrate.
It never describes His physical appearance - that is based on historical accounts of that era and a knowledge of what Middle Eastern peoples look like.Answer:This notionis a misapplication of John's "vision" of Jesus as He appears today:"...standing in the middle of the lampstandswas the Son of Man [Jesus]. He was wearing a long robe with a gold sash across His chest. His head and HIS HAIR were white LIKE WOOL, as WHITE AS SNOW. And His eyes were bright like flames of fire." (Rev.1:13-14 NLT New Living Translation)For some reason... some people like to focus in on the "wool" part, ignore the rest, and let their imaginations take over.
Wool or yak hair grows naturally, just like on sheep or an angora goat. The hair is then shaved off and spun.
