It's at 82nd or 83rd Street, on the west side of the park but near the center of it.
Belvedere Castle.
Belvedere castle is a building located in the city of New York near Central Park. Bevedere castle was built in 1869 and was intended to be a home. It was renovated in the year 1983.
There are more than a few monuments in Central Park: the stone obelisk called Cleopatra's Needle, the bronze statue of Balto the husky, the bronze Alice in Wonderland statue, and also Belvedere Castle. Perhaps you could be more specific?
Park Belvedere was created in 1998.
I don't think it has a real name. I think it's just called the Central Park Lake. I've lived in New York City all my life (26 years), and I've never heard it called anything besides "the lake in Central Park." Additionally, I just did about a thousand internet searches, and I couldn't find any name for it besides the Central Park Lake. Most of the other ponds/lakes in Central Park do have names, though: there's the Reservoir (at approximately 90th Street), Turtle Pond (at the base of Belvedere Castle, at approximately 84th Street...it's filled with turtles), and another pond (just called "The Pond") at the southeast corner of the park.
