all millenias have the fuel filter above the fuel tank. if you remove the trunk mat, you will see a round access door(gold) close to the ski door. remove the plate, which is held in by screws, and you will see the filter. the best way to gain access is to pull the back seat. you can do it thru the ski door, but i always pull the back seat, then you have more than enough room. it only takes about 10 minutes to remove the back seat, and it makes the filter an easy job.

Well if it's supercharged, its the 2.3L. If it's the non-supercharged, then its the 2.5L.
i drive a 2000 Mazda Etude and does not have a fuel filter.
